After 23 years of caring for patients through her role as an Anesthesiologist, Dr. Anna has opened the door into the world of beauty and skin care. Part of the inspiration for this shift in focus comes from experiences gained while working in hospitals as part of a large medical system.
As a practicing anesthesiologist, Dr. Anna sanitized her hands in 70% isopropyl alcohol multiple times per day, leaving her hands dry and chafed. The hospital supplied a skin cream for staff to moisturize their hands, but when Dr. Anna reviewed the ingredients, she was shocked to find the cream contained parabens, BHT and phenoxyethanol – known toxins, hormone disruptors and potential carcinogens.
This alarming discovery inspired Dr. Anna to pursue a mission to create products safe for the people she cares about. She researched dozens of organic ingredients deemed to be 100% safe by both the Environmental Working Group in the US and the David Suzuki Foundation in Canada. From her carefully selected ingredients, she developed Cielo Skin Care, a product line free of toxins, 100% safe, and yet as potent as any medical grade skin care.
